Do You LootCrate?

Remember on Christmas when you were a kid and the anticipation surrounding your presents?  Even though you dropped countless hints to your parents, you never really knew what was in those colorfully wrapped boxes until you opened them.  Sometimes it was that one toy you had to have, but every now and then your parents would surprise you with the mystery box.  What was in this box? What awesomeness was this? Remember when you opened it how you would just be knocked on the floor by the surprise.  Who knows, maybe you lost your mind like the Nintendo 64 kid.  Now imagine getting a mystery box like this every month.  Wouldn't that be the coolest thing ever?  If your answer is yes, then you must sign up for LootCrate!

LootCrate, according to their website is "the monthly gear and swag club for those that live and embrace the geek and gaming lifestyle." The company, based in Los Angeles, just launched and is growing rapidly.  Their first box just released and the word about the awesomeness that was in it started spreading like wildfire.
The first box had an Avengers cologne bottle, a $20 gift certificate for Gentle Giant (I would have really liked to have that), a mini Domo figure and more.  As soon as I found out about this exciting company, I signed up and waited patiently for my Crate.  When my crate finally arrived I couldn't wait to open it and share it with the Fandad community.  I posted a picture of it on the Fandad Facebook page and got a few comments on it.  As you can see from the photo below, this box is 8-Bit/Nintendo inspired.  Legend of Zelda mints, Super Mario power drink and a huge Mario-like mustache make up this box.  One of the cool items is the 8-bit red and black style glasses.

One cool thing about LootCrate is the online community on Twitter and Facebook.  They are very active on Facebook, like us, and have amassed over 3000 likes in a short time.  Not only do they post about the process to make these boxes, but they also post some cool pictures and they listen to your ideas and suggestions.  You never know, one day you might suggest something to them and it might show up in a future box.

There is a monthly fee for LootCrate, but the items that you get in the box are worth more than what you pay for.  Right now, there are 3 different tiers to sign up for: monthly, 3 months or 6 months.  Trust me, after getting my first box, I can't wait to see what next month will bring.

As a special offer for our readers, right now when you sign up to LootCrate and put the code word "Fandads" in the promo box and you will get 10% off you first month.  So, go! Sign up and and tell them Fandads sent you.
