The Civil War is coming, which side will you take?

There was a point in my life when I stopped reading comics. I know right, blasphemy, but it started to become a little overwhelming. With so many mutant titles coming out every week and the Spider-Man series getting a little too ridiculous for me, I mean his parents were alive and might have been clones? Come on Spidey, what are you doing?

Toys and Star Wars go hand in hand.

Every since I first starting going to the Chicago Toy & Game Fair I have always wanted to attend the Star Wars luncheon.  Every year, for some reason or another I do not attend.  If I remember correctly, it was a breakfast first and then they moved it to a luncheon.  This year again I am not going to be able to make it, but that does not mean you should miss it.  You can purchase your tickets here.

Would you like to go to the Chicago Toy & Game Fair?  Leave us a comment below telling us which is you favorite Star Wars toy of all time for a chance to win a family pass. (Note: Winning a pass does not gain you entrance to the Star Wars Luncheon. Tickets for that event must be purchased separately in the link above.)  A winner will be chosen by noon tomorrow.  Good luck everyone.

Marvel's Ant-Man Digital release and giveaway.

I remember when I saw the leaked footage from Edgar Wright's version of Ant-Man and I was amazed. I knew a little about Ant-Man and his storyline, but I was not sure which way they would go in the movie.  Once I finally saw the movie, I was blown away.

Join the adventure in Minecraft: Story Mode by Telltale Games

When I first heard about Minecraft: Story Mode I have to say that I was pretty excited. I mean two great tastes that taste great together excited! Minecraft. Awesome. Telltale Games. Awesome. Then you add some all star voice talents like Patton Oswalt, Ashley Johnson, Martha Plimpton, Corey Feldmen, Phil LaMarr, Billy West, and Paul Ruebens. Is that a recipe for success or what?!

Getting hands on at the Chicago Toy & Game fair. #Giveaway

The Chicago Toy & Game Fair comes to town next weekend and the Fandads will be there again to see and play with all the new and exciting toys that will be available this holiday season.  We have two family passes that we are giving away and $2 off coupons, but we'll talk about that a little later.  So what can you expect to see at this year's ChiTag? Keep reading to find out.

Finding Dory asks you to "Just Keep Swimming" until next June.

Finding Nemo is a movie that has helped me out when times are rough. When I come across those obstacles in my life that I feel I can not go over, I just think to myself; "What would Dory say?"  Yep, I look to an animated fish from an animated movie for inspiration.  I know it sounds strange, but sometimes you get inspiration from the weirdest places.

Remember the first time you saw a Star Wars poster?

When I was little we would always go to our local theater, The Riviera to see movies. Nowadays, The Riviera is a concert hall that houses a lot of great concerts, but let's focus on it when it was a theater.
I remember one year when we were walking in the lobby I saw a poster for RETURN OF THE JEDI. The poster just grabbed me and I froze and stared at it.

Getting serious with TOY STORY THAT TIME FORGOT #giveaway

I always thought that the Toy Story films were a great metaphor for parenting. I have also used this metaphor for teaching, too. If we stick to the parenting metaphor we all know that we come across those parents who take things a little too serious.  You know who I am talking about, the ones that have everything scheduled to a tee or the ones that are too serious to play around with their kids.
