As a dad, getting time to play video games is kind of difficult sometimes. In my house, we only have one television, so after we catch up on shows and the children go to bed I have the television to myself. Here is where the conundrum begins: Do I try to binge watch a few episodes of that one series I started? Or do I see what game I can play for a few hours before I fall asleep on the couch? What's a dad to do? 

Getting Ready for Ready Player One

Ready Player One is hitting the big screens today and I am excited to see this sci-fi extravaganza on the big screen. I remember I received a copy of the book with one of my early Loot Crates and I was hooked as soon as I started reading it. All of the pop-culture references took me back to my childhood in the 80's and made me love the book even more. As with all book-to-screen adaptations, we know that there might be a few differences, but here are the few things I am hoping to see on the big screen.   

Captain Marvel Production has Began!

Just announced yesterday was that production has begun of the filming of Captain Marvel by Marvel Studios. While I have not kept up on Captain Marvel in the comics like I have other characters, I am excited to see her on the big screen and see how her story will play out in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Also, the return of Agent Coulson...at least on the big screen. 

New Avengers: Infinity War Posters Released

Yesterday, Marvel Studios releases some pretty amazing posters for their upcoming Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War. Each of the posters is composed of "teams" that will work together in the movie or at least have some epic moments together. We all have those friends that we grew up with. You know the ones: the ones that were always there for us when times were bad, the friends that would cheer us up when we were having rough days and the ones that we had awesome adventures with. Our childhood friends really helped us become the person that we are today. The one thing about our childhood friends though is that as we grow up they change and sometimes we don't like the person that they have become.

Well, with the plethora of movies coming out there are still some great shows to watch at home from the comfort of your television. One of these great shows that you should be watching is LEGO Star Wars: The Freemakers Adventures. 

Bring home Disney's Lady and the Tramp

I remember when I was younger seeing Lady and the Tramp as a double feature with The Aristocats and maybe that is why I always mix up the two, but one thing for sure I always remember is the spaghetti scene. Little-by-little I have been introducing my children to all the movies I loved growing up and now I can add Lady and the Tramp to that collection thanks to the recently released Signature Edition of the beloved classic on Blu-ray and DVD.
