LEGO's #BuildToGive Campaign Brings Joy to All

Disclaimer: The Fandads have teamed up with our friends from LEGO and received a few LEGO sets to help promote their #BuildToGive campaign.

I have been fortunate to not have stepped on any LEGO pieces in my adulthood. My children are good about cleaning up after themselves when it comes to their LEGO sets, but while they are lucky enough to have some sets to build and create there are some children that are not as lucky. As a way to help out those children LEGO is sharing the gift of play with their #buildtogive campaign.

Unboxing and Reviewing the LEGO Nexo Knights

Disclaimer: The Fandads received a free AXL LEGO Nexo Knights figure for this review, but all words and opinions are our own.

LEGO has been a big part of my life since I was a little boy. One of my favorite LEGO sets was the Police Rescue Boat that my parents got me one year.  I would play with that boat wherever there was water.

I stopped collecting LEGOs for a while, but started up again once they started making Star Wars sets. I loved the fact that I could create my favorite scenes and vehicles and then create something entirely new once I finished building one of my sets. That's the great thing about these sets: They let your build whatever your imagination wants to make.

Some of the toys we have highlighted below are from the Star Wars line and the Marvel Legends series. Which figures will you pick up when they are released?

Gaining strength with DC SUPER HERO GIRLS! #Giveaway

When I was younger, cartoons were a big part of my life.  They were my escape from reality and also helped me to get through some tough times in my life.  As I got older I started to understand the depth of these cartoons. I started seeing everyday situations and problems being played out in cartoon format and realizing that these lessons were universal; that we all had "super powers" that could help us in our everyday life.

The Force called STAR WARS Awakens in our home!

I have been a fan of the series since I saw the first movie (Episode IV) at five years old.  While my love for the movies has not waned I can not express how excited I was to be able to share a new series of adventures with my children.
