Being a stay-at-home dad I have to make sure that my daughter has what she needs to prepare for her exciting days at school. Whether she is eating school lunch or wants to take a bag lunch, I make sure that she always has something MARVEL-ous in her lunch bag.

If you have been reading our blog for awhile you already know that I am a HUGE Spider-Man fan. I still get excited when I see someone dressed as him at comic conventions, so when I saw the #MARVELSnackBar at my local WalMart, it was a no-brainer to get them.

Now I did not buy them just because they had Spider-Man on the cover or because of the cool collector card on the back, although those did have something to do with it, but I have been eating granola bars for years and they are a great on-the-go snack. Plus having MARVEL characters on them makes them even more awesome.

Ok, I'll admit it, I did buy them because of Spider-Man.

Hawkeye's arrows show you where they are at!

MARVEL plays a huge deal in my household. I have been collecting comics since I was in grammar school and my daughter has been trained in the ways of MARVEL, thanks to the recent movies and the collectibles I have throughout our home. I am proud to say that my daughter is well versed in the Marvel Universe.

When I showed these granola bars to my little girl she wanted to eat them all that same day, but I told her they were for after school snacks, field trips and in between meals. So basically, they were for whenever we wanted to snack on something.

What my little girl loved about these snacks was the artwork that is displayed on the packaging. All the characters: Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Spider-Man, Captain America and Black Widow are drawn in a way that is reminiscent of comic book artists Steve Dikto and Jack Kirby. Each individually wrapped snack bar is a work of art and has a cool fact about the characters on the packaging. I really love the look of them and just want to save the packaging in a sealed mylar bag.

Recently my family attended a MARVEL live show and we took a few of the MARVEL snack bars with us, because we knew it was going to be a long day and these bars which are 40% bigger "based on weight" will hold us down until we got home that night.

I mean, if you are a MARVEL family like mine, then you will need some MARVEL-ous snacks to make sure that you have the energy to help take down any villain that you face in the day. So go out and get yourself a #MARVELSnackBar and get ready to take on the world...or at least pretend you are with your children.

Before the Hulk smashes your home, tell us when you give #MARVELSnackBar to your little heroes and which flavor is their favorite.

Thank you for reading.
