Gaining strength with DC SUPER HERO GIRLS! #Giveaway

When I was younger, cartoons were a big part of my life.  They were my escape from reality and also helped me to get through some tough times in my life.  As I got older I started to understand the depth of these cartoons. I started seeing everyday situations and problems being played out in cartoon format and realizing that these lessons were universal; that we all had "super powers" that could help us in our everyday life.

I think that is what makes DC Entertainment's latest animated series: Super Hero Girls a great cartoon for all children because the series is about a dynamic group of Super Heroes on their journey of discovering the power of their unique abilities and friendships. While all the characters are strong, fearless and edgy, there is a character for everyone.

I remember when I first saw this series with my daughter, she was mesmerized by all the different characters. While the only DC character my daughter recognized was Wonder Woman and BatGirl, she quickly wanted to learn more about the other characters. We jumped on their YouTube channel and watched a few of the episodes and after that she was hooked.

While my daughter wanted to go out and buy all the toys, we bought the first book in the series and were lucky enough to have a friend of ours get it signed by author Lisa Yee. My daughter loves the book and right now her favorite character is Poison Ivy. When she is not reading the book, we visit their website to see the great images and videos that are posted on there.

Has your home been invaded by DC Super Hero Girls yet? If not check out the video below and go visit their website and witness the awesomeness that is there. After visiting their site, enter our giveaway below for a chance to win a $100 VISA gift card.
