As a parent, you always want to share things you loved growing up with your children. It can be something as simple as your favorite song, your favorite television show or your favorite movie. You just want to see if your child reacts to it the same way you did and then shares the love that you have for it. In the case of Peter Pan, I remember the first time my daughter saw it. She loved the songs, the big flying sequence and especially one particular character...Captain Hook. Yep, my daughter fell for the villain.
I don't know what it was about Captain Hook, but my daughter really liked him. She liked him so much that during one trip to the Disney store, she wanted the plush version of him and she walked around with that thing almost everywhere we went.

I never saw Peter Pan in the theaters when I was growing up. The most I knew about him was the snippets I would see on television and the songs from a Disney record that my sisters and I would play repeatedly. I remember the first time I saw it was with my daughter and we both just sat there and were transported to Neverland. It was a pretty cool feeling experiencing it with my daughter and just being lost in that world for a few hours.
