Having Fun with Alice and Dory.

Disney has two fun family movies coming out soon: Alice Through the Looking Glass and Finding Dory and to get you excited about them we have some fun activity sheets to hold you over until the movies release.  I mean, what can be more fun than coloring The Mad Hatter or Dory on a rainy day or playing a memory game after dinner. These are just a few examples of some of the activity sheets that we have in store for you thank to our friends from Disney.

Coloring with the Force thanks to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

There has been an awakening. Have you felt it? It was almost like a million bloggers all cried out at once and then silence...but not for everyone.  This weekend a few of my fellow bloggers are heading to the HUGE #StarWarsEvent in Los Angeles and I will be following along via the hashtag #StarWarsEvent.

Counting Down to Christmas with Arlo from The Good Dinosaur

Remember when you were younger and the anticipation for Christmas once December hits? Did you "X" out the days until Christmas? I remember doing that with my calendars and just could not wait until the day came when I could celebrate with my family and see what gifts were waiting for us under the Christmas tree.

If you have children (or are just a kid at heart) you know that advent calendars are a better way to count down the days until Christmas than just drawing an "X" on the calendar.  If you are like me and waited until the last minute to get one and can not find the one you are looking for, I'm looking at you Lego Star Wars advent calendar, than this is a quick and easy one to make at home with your children.

Countdown the days with Arlo and see what's hidden behind the doors each day.  I would tell you what's being door number 2, but I think I should keep it a surprise.  What are you waiting for? Start that printer and get to printing and cutting!!

Click here to print out your own and to let the fun begin!

THE GOOD DINOSAUR is in theaters now. Get your tickets here and avoid the lines.

Guest Post; Summer Project: Creating a Comic Book with the Family

Today we have a guest post by Ken Myers from @go_nannies about a great activity you can do with your family over the summer.  Being that we are Fandads, we thought that this would be a great article to share with our friends.  Imagine making a comic book starring your family.  Hopefully this will inspire you to create a comic book and if you do please share with us here and the Fandads community.  So without further ado, here is Ken's post.
