Thoughts to my son on his birthday

This month my son celebrates his second birthday and these past two years have flown by.  It feels like he was just learning to crawl the other day and now he is running around, crawling into the refrigerator and keeping me up late on some nights.

There are days where I just stare at him when he is destroying the playroom and I wonder to myself "What kind of father am I to him? Am I really getting him prepared for the future?" I guess I will get the answer to these questions as the years progress, but I decided I will write him a letter, just in case he needs direction.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Teaser Trailer #2

Today I was going to start my monthly Star Wars series, but then this happened!

I think this takes precedence over any post that I was going to write today.  Enjoy and watch it over and over and over.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes out this Christmas.

The Fandads are ready to act #LikeASuperHero with Nestle! #Sponsored

Being a stay-at-home dad I sometimes wish I had a clone helping me out with my daily chores....strike that, I wish I had a multitude of clones available to help me out every day.  From preparing my daughter for school, driving my wife to work and running errands with my son, things would be a lot easier if I had specific clones assigned to help out with these chores.

One thing I might have to worry about is: what if these clones start to malfunction? Who will help my family? Well, the obvious answer is me, since I got us into this mess with the clones, but I might need a little help, maybe super hero help.

Chatting it up with Chatsters: Gabby.

Growing up with two sisters and all female cousins, I was around a lot of dolls.  I did have my action figures to play with, but when we would go over to my cousin's house it was nothing but dolls.  I remember the days I did not bring any of my figures with me, I would try to find something to play with in their rooms. Usually it would end up being some doll house or toy phone.

"There's been an awakening"

With the release of Star Wars Episode 7 later this year, I decided to do a monthly Star Wars post.  Each month I will talk about a different aspect of these movies; be it a memory, a family tradition, a favorite toy or just why I love these movies.

The first post will be up next week and I am getting the help from a few of my dadblogger friends to start this series off with a bang.  I hope that you will enjoy this little Star Wars journey that we will be going on and add to the conversation.

Until next time my friends, thanks for reading.
