Getting Schooled by the Vice Principals and HBO

I have been a fan of Danny McBride for a good while. From the Foot Fist Way to the HBO series, "Eastbound and Down" his type of raw humor always made me laugh out loud. If you are a fan of his humor and his HBO show then I hope you have been watching him in the hilarious "Vice Principals" on HBO

I'll admit, there is so much to watch on television these days that starting a new show might be difficult to do. I felt the same way when I first heard about this show, but once I saw the first episode I was hooked. Vice Principals became a part of my Sunday routine. 

The show centers around Neal Gamby (Danny McBride) and Lee Russell (Walton Goggins), two rivals who have their eyes on the vacant principal position at their school, North Jackson High School. Both of these men feel that the position is theirs, but things change when Dr. Belinda Brown (Kimberly Hébert Gregory) is appointed the role.

What follows next is a series of hilarious attempts to overthrow the new principal which include: tainted drinks, blackmail, and an accidental fire. Within all this madness we also see how the character of Gamby is dealing with his separation and trying to stay relevant in his daughter's life. We also see the dysfunctional home life of Russell, which I feel are some of the funniest moments of the show due to his relationship with his mother-in-law.

Vice Principals is guaranteed to make you laugh and probably feel uncomfortable at what you're laughing about, but if you are a fan of Danny McBride, you know his humor goes in every direction. The show releases today, February 7th, on Blu-ray, DVD and digital HD, visit your local retailer to pick up a copy.
