The Beginning of a New Routine

Friends, it's that time of year again, the first day of school. This year is a little bittersweet, not only for my wife and I but for many other parents that have their last child starting kindergarten. My son is going to start school this year and I know two days that are going to be somewhat depressing in our household: Mondays and Fridays.

It's been over a week since my last day with my students and I didn't know how to share it with you.  If you remember from my previous post, I was not renewed for the following year and I haven't even told my students about it.

I decided that I would tell them on this day, but as soon as I arrived to school some students were asking me if what they heard was true.  I knew at that moment this was going to be a long day.

Quick Update on the Fandads

It's been a busy few weeks for the Fandads, but we wanted to let you know what has been going on.  Thank you very much for the comments on our last post "Dad Blogs we Like" we hope to do more things like that in the future.  Maybe showcase other things we like: video games, movies, comics, etc. 

Over the summer we were both in school, so that was an adventure in itself.  With work, taking classes and family life it had been a little hard to keep up to date on the blog.  We have been talking about doing some kind of logo and have had some people interested in making one for us, we'll keep you updated on the process of that. 

We did have a new father join us here at Fandads, but he has been a little busy too with his two little girls, so hopefully he'll introduce himself to everyone soon.  In the meantime, we want to say thanks for the support and for reading.
