Fandads 1st Ever Father's Day Gift Guide

With Father's Day a few days away, you might be thinking to yourself, " What do I get the Fandad in my family?"

Well, have no fear. The Fandads are here to help you out with a few suggestions for that hard to buy dad in your life.  Now remember these are just a few suggestions and not every Fandad might be into these items, but they are a good beginning in finding that perfect gift.

Hopefully, you'll find something on here to make him squeal with joy when he opens his gift.

For the Action Figure Collector

Hasbro recently starting releasing a six inch figure assortment of Star Wars figures know as the Black Series.  Right now there are 3 waves available: Wave 1 contained Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, Darth Maul and a Sandtrooper. While the recently released Wave 2 contains: Boba Fett, Greedo, Han Solo and Slave Leia.  Wave 3 contains Han Solo, Stormtrooper, Luke (Bespin Fatigues) and Obi Wan Kenobi (Revenege of the Sith).

These figures are a little more detailed and articulate than the regular 3 3/4 figures.  In their box these figures look awesome and out of the box (yes, I did open these up to display), they look even more amazing.  These figures are available wherever Star Wars figures are sold and retail for $19.99 each.  A bit pricey, but worth it.

They're Collectibles, Not Dolls!!

If they are into higher end collectible action figures I suggest looking into the figures made by Hot Toys.  These figures are amazing! From the likeness of the actors that portrayed them, to little nuance items like switchblade knifes that actually work to guns that have removable magazines.

Below I added some pictures of a few of the Hot Toys figures that I have: Bank Robber Joker, Joker 2.0 and Iron Man Mark VII Armor.  While these figures are a little pricey, they make up for it in their wow-ness factor.

Captain America Star Spangled Man Version - Sixth Scale Figure
The Joker figures are a little hard to find and go for maybe double the price on Ebay right now.  If you like the Iron Man figures, Hot Toys is pretty much making all the armors from the Iron Man 3 movie and they can be purchased through Sideshow Collectibles.

If you are looking for something that you can order or pre-order today, I have a few suggestions.
The Captain America figure in his Stealth S.T.R.I.K.E. Suit is a fantastic piece that you can pre-order for dad. Another character from the Captain America movie you might want to preorder is his partner Marvel Black Widow Marvel Sixth Scale Figure

Accessories

If you are one of those people who constantly gets the dad in your life a tie, why not get them one that they will enjoy wearing.  CuffLinks.com has a lot of fantastic ties, socks and cuff links that your dad will love.  I recently picked up the Star Wars Rebel Navy tie during Star Wars Day and it's the coolest tie that I own right now.

Now if a Star Wars is not his thing, they do have Star Trek, NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB Cuff Links and a wide assortment of regular ties.  If you have the a dad who is a gadget guru, then why not buy him a USB Flash Drive cufflink or money clips.

Cufflinks.com is giving our readers 10% off their order when you use the code "fandads10" from now until Sunday.
