This weeks Video Game Time has a few games that will make me veg out in front of my television for hours or at least until the baby wakes up. Rockstar games is taking us back to the ole' west with Red Dead Redemption. The game centers on John Marston as he tries to take down his old gang after federal agents threaten his family. From the videos I've seen online, this game looks amazing and I can't wait to play this. There are mexican stand-offs, train robberies, gun battles and side missions that will give you hours of gameplay. One feature that has me excited is creating my own posse and taking them on missions and hunting down other gangs. So, if you have a PS3, look out for me and let's do this! Red Dead Redemption will also be released on the 360.
The other big game coming out this week is Alan Wake exclusively for the 360. This game puts players in the shoes of Alan Wake, a writer whose wife mysteriously disappears in the town of Bright Falls. While trying to find her he finds pages of a manuscript that he has yet to write,
but these pages contain clues into what is happening in this small town. Using only light to protect himself Alan Wake will change the playing field for future games. Alan Wake is an intense psychological thriller that is filled with missions, puzzles, and intense combat. The game is reminiscent of Twin Peaks and Stephen King novels and is set to be serialized like a television show with additional DLC coming soon.
Lastly, congrats to the winners of the Pirates of the Caribbean DLC codes. Your codes will be sent out later today, so check your e-mails and once again congratulations.
