Promising Young Woman Blu-ray Giveaway

Disclaimer: The Fandads were provided with a review copy of Promising Young Woman in exchange for a giveaway. All thoughts, opinions, & heavy conversations are our own.

We are lucky to review a lot of family movies on Fandads and as much as we love watching the same animated animals over and over sometimes we want something that doesn't have a singing/talking animal. Luckily, our friends over at Universal Pictures sent us a review copy of Promising Young Woman and it was amazing. We have been hearing a lot of great things about Promising Young Woman when it was initially released and we are glad to have had the opportunity to watch it. While we do not want to give away too much about the movie, it does deal with some heavy issues and is important in this day and age.

While this is not a movie we normally review on Fandads, this movie deals with rape and the effects it has on the people that were involved. The movie is not heavy-handed in talking about the issue but we do see how the main character, Cassie, attempts to enact revenge on men who try to take advantage of her. We do not see how she takes revenge on these men but we think that is what makes it more interesting to think about what she has done. The story brilliantly unfolds and takes a turn when you least expect it.

Keep reading to see the official word from the studio and see how you can win a copy of Promising Young Woman.

Final Thoughts: This is a very important movie that needs to be seen today. While the subject might be too intense for some this is a must-watch.

Kid-Friendly: No. If we were to give an age range for this movie we would suggest 15 and up. The movie touches on subjects that can open important conversations with their children.

Violence: While we never see what happens with Cassie's "dates" it is implied that something does happen to these men. There is one scene towards the end of the movie that might be too hard for some to watch.
