My family has been lucky in attending a lot of Disney on Ice shows in the past few years. My wife would buy us seats close to the ice and as the site grew we started getting invited to attend the shows. My daughter loves seeing her favorite characters on the ice and when we took our son to his first show, he was ecstatic the entire time. We are lucky to have been invited to the latest show and we are excited to see the new program that they have created. 

Monster Jam® Set to Roar into Rosemont

Disney On Ice presents Mickey’s Search Party brings the magic closer to fans than ever before through dynamic and immersive moments that take place on the ice, in the air and in the seats. Produced by Feld Entertainment, Inc., the worldwide leader in live touring family entertainment, Disney On Ice is once again elevating the ice show experience with brand-new engaging elements that will fascinate both newcomers and seasoned guests alike. This show starts on January 24th at Allstate Area and runs until the 27th.

Sesame Street Live! Make Your Magic to Appear at The Chicago Theatre

Everyone’s invited on an amazing journey with Elmo to discover the “power of yet” in Sesame Street Live! Make Your Magic. Featuring favorite Sesame Street pals Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird and more in a brand-new, magical adventure live on stage. Sesame Street Live! Make Your Magic will visit Chicago on Saturday, Feb. 9, and Sunday, Feb. 10, for six performances at The Chicago Theatre. Sesame Street Live! Make Your Magic is produced by family entertainment giant, Feld Entertainment, in partnership with the non-profit educational organization Sesame Workshop.

Get Ready for Mickey's Search Party

Disney On Ice presents Mickey’s Search Party is bringing guests closer to the magic than ever before through dynamic and immersive moments that take place on the ice, in the air and in the seats. This participatory adventure delivering compelling storytelling through multi-leveled production numbers arrives in the Chicago area in January, with performances Jan. 24 to 27 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., then moves to Chicago’s United Center, Jan. 30 to Feb. 2, before returning to the Allstate Arena for a final week, Feb. 7 to 10. Tickets are now on sale for both venues.

Monster Jam® Triple Threat Returns to Rosemont

Too big to contain to once a year, Monster Jam® Triple Threat will make its second annual appearance at Rosemont’s Allstate Arena, Nov. 2-4, marking the first time the wildly popular Monster Jam tour will make a Chicagoland pit-stop in November. Playing to sold-out crowds here each February/March, this new season of Monster Jam Triple Threat promises to bring motorsport fans to the edge of their seats with adrenaline-charged, high-flying, four-wheel excitement that is fun for the entire family.

Featuring the eight most intense athletes of Monster Jam, Chicago-area fans will witness a fierce battle for the championship with each competitor using customized high-powered vehicles: Monster Jam Speedsters, Monster Jam ATVs and the famous Monster Jam trucks. Pit Parties give fans the opportunity to meet the Monster Jam athletes and get up close to the Monster Jam trucks. Pit passes are priced at $10 on Saturday, and $15 on Sunday, and can only be purchased in conjunction with tickets to the same-day Saturday or Sunday 1 pm show.

When I was growing up I remember how much joy I got from watching Sesame Street. Watching it every day and learning new numbers or letters was always so much fun. Now with children of my own I watch the new episodes of Sesame Street and it takes me back to my childhood. I love watching all the new characters that have been introduced and see how they interact with the characters I grew up watching. In a few months, the gang will be live in the Chicagoland area for a show that will entertain the entire family.

Ice Capades was the big thing that my parents would always take us to. My dad would get the tickets and we would make it a family day.  I can't remember many of the acts that we saw at these shows, but I just remember the joy of being there with my family.

Now that I have children of my own, I want them to have those same memories when they get older. I want them to have a smile on their faces when they are watching some sort of ice show with their own children.  I want them to remember all of the Disney shows that we went to and the joy that we had there. 

Disney on Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic

One thing that my family and I love doing is attending the Disney on Ice shows.  We have been taking our daughter to these shows since she was about 3 years old and it's one of the events we all look forward to attending as a family.

Next year Disney on Ice will celebrate 100 years of Magic with their latest show: DISNEY ON ICE: 100 YEARS OF MAGIC, maybe I could have set that up differently, but this seems like it will be a show that is full of excitement and a lot of characters.

The celebration of the century comes alive in Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic Presented by Stonyfield YoKids Organic Yogurt. This monumental ice skating spectacular is slated to open at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., Jan. 20 - 24, then move to Chicago’s United Center, Jan. 27 - Feb. 7, 2016.

Audiences will be a part of the magic of Disney as Mouse-ter of Ceremonies Mickey Mouse leads a parade of more than 50 beloved characters starring Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and featuring an ensemble of Disney Princesses including Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel, Snow White and Tiana.
