With families staying home due to the recent pandemic, finding activities to do together can be challenging. Sitting in front of the television is not exactly a great family activity, but what if you can do something that doesn't involve the television? The ProjeX Projecting Game Arcade takes the concept of playing video games and makes it more interactive by removing the screen and getting your family up and active.
When we received our ProjeX we were excited because it was something that we can all do together. While there are not that many couch co-op video games on the market these days, most video games are online and do not give every member of the family a chance to play together. This system was great because we can all play together in one room and take turns with the blasters.
Now before we get a little ahead of ourselves, let us tell you about the ProjeX system. The system is easy to set up. you just take it out the box, put in batteries, plug in the blasters, and select the slide you want to play. Easy, peasy and you are ready to go!
ProjeX comes with 3 slides that vary in difficulty: red (Medium), blue (Easy), and white (Difficult). Changing the slides is also very easy and you have three skill levels for each slide. Along with the different skill levels, there are 5 different game modes too. The variety is great in that it continually challenges the players. Playing with my children, they enjoyed playing 2 game modes: Game Mode 3, which randomly moved the target around and Mode 4, in which you had to shoot the falling object to prevent it from hitting the ground.
The system costs about the average price for a video game: $49.99, but for that price, it is something the entire family can enjoy. The system is so small and portable, you can take it to your next family get together and play it on any wall in the house. Fun for the whole family, ProjeX features five games and three skill levels to keep players engaged. A "beginner" setting accommodates even the youngest players in the room.
