Projecting Fun with ProjeX! #giveaway

Disclaimer: The Fandads were compensated for their review of ProjeX and supplied with a system to giveaway. All thoughts, opinions, and good times are our own.

With families staying home due to the recent pandemic, finding activities to do together can be challenging. Sitting in front of the television is not exactly a great family activity, but what if you can do something that doesn't involve the television? The ProjeX Projecting Game Arcade takes the concept of playing video games and makes it more interactive by removing the screen and getting your family up and active.

No Case too Small for The Mighty Pups Super Paws

Whenever the Paw Patrol theme song would come on I remember my son dancing like there was no tomorrow. The theme song was so catchy that you could not help but dance to it. We loved watching the show together because it always had a great lesson about working together and believing in yourself. My son is a little older now and still watches the show on Nickelodeon every now and then and he got a little excited when I showed him this new DVD collection.

Make way for The Peanut Butter Falcon

Disclaimer: The Fandads were provided with a review copy of The Peanut Butter Falcon for this post. All thoughts, opinions, and attempted wrestling moves are our own.

There is a scene in The Peanut Butter Falcon where Shia LeBeouf's character is talking to Zach Gottsagen about good guys and bad guys. Zach thinks he is a bad guy and that he can not be a hero because he has Downs Syndrome, but Shia's character Tyler tells him. "What's that have to do with your heart? You have a good guy heart." This might seem like just a conversation between two "road dogs" on the run, but it shows that Tyler doesn't see Zach as a Downs Syndrome person, he sees him as a person.

Riding to school with the Hover-1 Journey Electric Scooter #AD

Disclaimer: The Fandads were compensated for this post. All thoughts, opinions, and desire to own one of these are our own.

The school year has begun and you know what that means; my children and I start enjoying our 3.5 block walk to school. The walks in the morning are great because we talk about everything and nothing. We'll chat about a movie or television show they saw, what they are looking forward to in their day, or what they want to eat for dinner at night. While we enjoy our leisurely strolls to school it is not like that every day.

Dad jokes make the world go round! #sponsored

Disclaimer: The Fandads have teamed up with Laffy Taffy for this post. All thoughts, opinions, and, corny fantastic jokes are our own.

You see the picture above? You see how sad and unhappy the children look? The reason for this look is that these children have not heard a good dad joke in a few hours. Yeah, Dad jokes get a bad rap, but when told at the right time, it can either make your children laugh or cringe and walk away from you. Now, if you fancy yourself a master of dad jokes we have a contest for you from our friends at Laffy Taffy.

Laffy Taffy sings "We have no banana, today!"

Disclaimer: The Fandads have teamed up with Laffy Taffy for this post. All thoughts, words, and distaste for banana flavor Laffy Taffy are our own.

Banana. Say it with me: Ba-Na-Na. It’s such a strange word. It’s one of those words that makes you feel funny when you say it. It’s kind of like the word moist. There’s just something about that word that makes you feel weird.

How do you define aging? #DadsDisruptAging

Disclaimer: The following post is sponsored by Disrupt Aging from AARP. All thoughts, opinions and body pains are my own.

Have you ever thought about why you do the things you do? For me, it's trying to be athletic and show my children how athletic I am, but that has not always been the story. I was never much of an athlete when I was younger. I ran around with my friends playing games like freeze tag, and hide-n-seek, but never anything too strenuous. When I went to high school, I joined a few teams, but not being physically fit, my high school athletic career did not advance at all. After graduation, I started thinking that I passed my prime. I passed my time to be fit and to be athletic, but all that changed when I had my daughter.

A Wrinkle in Time Home Release review and Giveaway

Disclaimer: The Fandads were provided with a review copy of A Wrinkle in Time along with copies to giveaway. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

When I was in elementary school I remember having to do book reports throughout the year. As much as I loved reading, I remember reading the same books over and over and writing about them for my teacher. One of the books that I remember having a hard time reading was A Wrinkle in Time. Yeah, being a science fiction geek you would figure I would have devoured this book, but there was just something about it that made it hard for me to completely finish. When I finally finished the book I was kicking myself for not having done it sooner and when I heard that it was coming out in the theaters, I got excited about it.

Disclaimer: The Fandads were provided with the Tom Tom Adventurer by our friend Little Tech Girl in exchange for a review. All thoughts, opinions and bruised body parts are our own.

You know that feeling when you accomplish something that most people say is impossible? You know, like running a marathon, watching your children while you are sick or building a HEMNES all by yourself and not having any parts left over? Yeah, that is such a great feeling!

The Adventure Continues, #ThanksBaby

Disclosure: The Fandads have partnered with Life of Dad  and Pampers for this promotion.

Remember those mornings when you would just wake up and not want to get out of bed? There have been many times in my past that I would wish that the days would just fly by. A lot of the times I would not want to get out of bed, but I knew that I had classes to attend and a job to go to, so I did it. I would go through those monotonous days and just feel like this is what my life was going to be. To quote Aesop Rock "Wake, Work, Sleep" and that is not what I wanted for my life.

What does it take to be the #KingOfSoup #Sponsored

Disclaimer: I have partnered with Life of Dad and Idahoan® Foods for this campaign, but my opinions, dirty dishes, and a full stomach are all my own.

I remember in the early 2000's BC (Before Children), my wife and I would spend countless nights eating dinner at nice, not too fancy, restaurants and enjoying our meals at our own pace. We would talk about the state of the world and life in general. Who am I kidding, I was probably rambling on and on about some comic books I read and she was probably just being nice and listening to me. You know, good conversation.

All that changed once our first child was born. When she was a baby it was all candy and glitter as she slept in her car seat and we enjoyed our meal. If she started getting antsy, we would give her a bottle or her pacifier and all would be golden.  As she got older, things started to change. Fussiness would become crying and crying would lead to tantrums. It would get to the point that we would have to rush sometimes and our nice long dinners turned into asking for to-go containers once our food arrived.

Trying to get some #ToughRelief with Fisherman's Friend

Disclosure: Fandads have partnered with Life of Dad and Fisherman's Friend for this promotion. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

Have you ever heard the saying that people are in your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime? Yeah, I thought that was a bunch of hooey, but then I started thinking about the people that have come and gone in my life. When you look at it, some people have a purpose in your life. Then, there are those that say they are your friends, but end up being nothing but a pain in your....well, let me tell you a story about one of these "so-called" friends.
