Captain Marvel was a fun movie that we reviewed earlier this year and it gave us insight as to what role she will play in Avengers: Endgame. While this movie was met with some backlash and criticism of the leading actress, the movie proved them all wrong by soaring to the billion-dollar mark within 3 weeks of being released. Captain Marvel proved that it was a movie to watch and now we can relive our favorite moments at home.
Marvel Studio's Avengers: Endgame is the culmination of 21 Marvel movies all leading to the 22nd that wraps up the Infinity Stone Saga. Now while we are hoping many of our readers have seen the movie by now, we know that this may not be the case. We have a mini non-spoiler review for those that have yet to see the movie, and for those that have seen the movie, Gil and I list our favorite moments.
Bear with me for a moment or two, but at least for us, this Era begins almost twenty years ago. It's the year 2000 and surprise, surprise, the world did not succumb to the Y2K problem and Earth was still around. That summer we'd spend a lot of time at the movies watching the first X-Men movie. As a comic book aficionado, it was truly the first time I saw my childhood heroes on the big screen. In "real life" or as close as they had ever been. Wolverine, Cyclops, Professor X up on the big screen. Sure, there had been previous movies, Batman, TMNT, Spawn, and many more, but I think this was different.
Who is Carol Danvers? Who is Captain Marvel? Why is she getting a movie now and where was she all of this time? These are probably a few questions that many people who are not familiar with the Marvel character have, but these questions do get answered and show us why Captain Marvel is a great addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

It's finally here! The long awaited trailer for Captain Marvel! There are a lot of great images in this trailer but the one that got me excited is the return of Agent Coulson! Check out the trailer below and share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ CAPTAIN MARVEL is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom. The film stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Rune Temte, Algenis Perez Soto, Mckenna Grace, with Annette Bening, with Clark Gregg, and Jude Law. Marvel Studios’ CAPTAIN MARVEL is produced by Kevin Feige and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jonathan Schwartz, Patricia Whitcher and Stan Lee are the executive producers.

I remember when the Avengers movie was released how awesome it was to see the characters that I followed in their respective comics books and movies all together on the big screen. Just that rotating shot of the group getting ready to take on the incoming Chitari army was more than enough to get this Fandad excited about the upcoming possibilities.
After the earth-shattering ending of Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel fans need a palette cleanser and this is where Ant-Man and The Wasp comes in. Continuing in the same vein as the first movie, Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor: Ragnorok, Ant-Man 2 is a fun-filled adventure that will have you laughing, crying and laughing again. Here is our quick spoiler-free review.
Disclaimer: The Fandads were provided with a review copy of Black Panther. All thoughts, opinions and cheers of "Wakanda Forever!" are our own.
Just this past Tuesday the Black Panther Blu-Ray was released and I wonder if it is also going to break records in sales both physically and digitally. The movie is a worldwide phenomenon and I could not wait to rewatch it at home with my family. If you want to read our review of the movie you can read that here and keep reading to hear out thoughts about the home release.
Yesterday the latest trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp dropped and it is fantastic! The humor and action from the first movie are still here and we also get a look at the new villain: Ghost. If you have not seen the trailer watch it below and continue reading our thoughts after you watch it.
Just announced yesterday was that production has begun of the filming of Captain Marvel by Marvel Studios. While I have not kept up on Captain Marvel in the comics like I have other characters, I am excited to see her on the big screen and see how her story will play out in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Also, the return of Agent Coulson...at least on the big screen.
Yesterday, Marvel Studios releases some pretty amazing posters for their upcoming Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War. Each of the posters is composed of "teams" that will work together in the movie or at least have some epic moments together. I like how each poster is themed around a color of the Infinity Stones. Which one is your favorite? Scroll through the posters and share with us your favorite in the comments.
Disclaimer: Fandads were provided with an advance copy of Thor:Ragnarok to review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
Out today on Blu-ray, DVD and 4k HD is one of the recent funniest movies from Marvel Studios, Thor: Ragnarok. While funniest maybe a big overstatement, it did have a lot of funny movements and that also alienated some people from it. You can read our review of the movie here, but we have a little more to tell you about the home release.
I've mentioned before that growing up, Spider-Man was my favorite superhero of all time. While I knew that we both didn't look alike, knowing that Peter Parker was a smart boy that was just trying to fit in sometimes was something that I related to. I remember the first time I saw him on the big screen it felt really good and I teared up a little because this was my guy and in a small and strange way, that was me. I feel that many young children who have never seen themselves represented on the big screen are going to have that same experience that I had when they see Black Panther.
A few days ago on our Facebook page, I asked our followers, which movie from the 2018 Disney/Marvel line-up were they excited to see. Some of the answers were for Infinity War but my answer was Ant-Man and The Wasp. Lo and behold, it looks like someone heard me because a few days later we got this gem. Yes, Marvel has released the first trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp and it looks amazing. Also, if you zoom in the poster above you can see our two heroes in action.
Disclaimer: The Fandads were invited to an advance screening of Thor:Ragnarok. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
You have probably heard by now that Thor:Ragnarok is one of the best reviewed Marvel movies to date and we are here to tell you that the Fandads agree. This has got to be one of the funniest movies in the Marvel Universe along with the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
