Prepare for the Comic Con Revolution!

Friends, we are excited to attend the first ever Comic Con Revolution in Chicago. Now while this event has happened in other cities, it is great to have another comic convention in the Chicagoland area. We will be there on Saturday covering the event and sharing with you all of the amazing things we see.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Review #Giveaway

Disclaimer: The Fandads attended an advance screening in exchange for promoting Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and hosting a giveaway for our readers.

Representation matters.

Our review might be a tad biased. Just wanted to let you know ahead of time. It didn’t take much more than a couple of minutes, but there we were, represented on screen. “I had those Jordans when I was a kid!” “They’re speaking Spanish!” The film is full of moments that had us tearing up. Miles had a black book, he threw up a piece, he had stickers, hip-hop music, turntables! That could be us on the screen, WE COULD BE SPIDER-MAN!

Things to do!

The Fandads have been thinking about doing these type of post for a while and here is the debut of a new section where we will highlight things to do in Chicago over the weekend. Depending on what activities are going on we will highlight a few things that we think you and your family will enjoy doing in the city.

Let’s begin.

Wizard World Chicago 2012

Wizard World Chicago Comic Con 2012 is just under 2 weeks away and I have yet to buy my ticket.  It's not that I don't want to go or anything like that, it's if I go I might spend a little more than I want to.  Being the father of a two year old also makes your change your priorities too, especially when her birthday is in the same month.  Usually the months leading up to Wizard World I start making a list of the comics or collectibles that I want to buy, but lately, I haven't been going to the comic book shop as often as I used to.  While I am still on the fence about going I have decided to make a list of reasons why I should go this year.  This list is more of a way of reaffirming why I have to go, if you remember, last time I made a list of my favorite Wizard Word memories.
