Powering up with Incredibles 2

Disclaimer: The Fandads were provided with an advance copy of Incredibles 2 for our review. All thoughts, opinions, and attempt to save the world are our own.

When the Incredibles ended with the family all donning a mask and getting ready for action I wanted more. I mean if you are going to end the movie with a cliffhanger, you should give us a resolution soon, not 14 years later. Thankfully, Incredibles 2 starts off where the last movie ended and the story continues from there.

Now we don't want to give you a complete play-by-play of the movie, but we will say that it is great to see the characters in action again. The movie flips the dynamic the superhero genre by having Mr. Incredible stay home and watch the children while Mrs. Incredible goes out to save the world.

As a father, I thought it was great to see the at-home dad story play out. I could relate to some of the issues that Bob was having when it came to homework or trying to get the youngest child in bed, but luckily I did not have to deal with a child with superpowers.

To help promote the digital and home release of Incredibles 2 we asked some of our readers to share with us a picture of their "incredible" families and we received some amazing pictures from the ones that participated. You can see all of our Incredible Families on our Instagram page. While you are there, show some love to the families and let us know who your favorite ones are.

Like all home releases, there are some fun extras that are on the disc and Incredibles 2 does not disappoint. The extras that we enjoyed are the Auntie Edna mini-movie and the deleted scenes. It would be cool to see the deleted scenes fully animated, but seeing them in their storyboard mode is still pretty cool.

Here is the complete list of extras that come with Incredibles 2, some extras might vary due to retailer exclusives.
