#ThanksBaby for making me who I am today.

Disclosure: I have partnered with Life of Dad and Pampers promotion.

In the picture above a lot of things are going through my head: "Don't drop her!" "Is this mask scaring you?" "Do you know what it means to be scared?" and "What is going to happen now?" Although all of this was going through my head, the main thing on my mind was relief.

What makes a memorable Dad Moment? #PowerofDad #OralB

As a dad there are days where you sit back, watch your kids run around and you think one of two things: "How did I get so lucky?" or "He/She is moving and got up off the floor, they'll be ok".

It's little moments of reflection like these that start teaching us about what kind of fathers we are becoming and what our favorite moments of fatherhood are.

Let's examine a few of mine.

Happy Father's Day!

This Father's Day we wanted to do something a little different and honor some movie fathers who go above and beyond for their children. Some of these fathers go through hell and back for their children, while others just stick to their guns and hope it all works out in the end.  Though, no matter what these fathers go through, they do it all for the love of their children.  Here they are in no particular order:

Warrior Dash Take Two!

If you are a follower of our blog you will remember that last year I participated in the Warrior Dash on Father's Day. That experience was amazing and I told myself that I would do it again the following year and prepare better for it this time around.

Well, with about a month to go for the next Warrior Dash, I am glad to announce that I am doing it again, but sadly I haven't prepared any better than I did last year.  I have been working a lot these past few months so my time to train has been few and far between.  I have been using Your Shape Fitness Evolved on the Kinect to exercise and it has been working pretty well, but I need to go running to improve my cardio.

Unlike last year where it was just two of us, this year there is a group of us going together and it should be a fun experience.  Maybe we'll do costumes or maybe we will not, but either way it will be great to run with friends and support each other at the Warrior Dash.

I am thinking about starting a running group to get prepared for the dash and just to start getting in better shape.  If anyone is interested in joining, let me know.  I know work schedules will make it hard to have a constant schedule, but maybe we can find a few times in the week or weekend to just get together and run for a few miles.  This would be a great way to get in shape and to familiarize ourselves with our readers.  Hopefully this will lead to one of our goals here at fandads: to create a community of like minded fandads.

Thanks for reading and wish me luck on June 17th.

"I am your father." - Darth Vader, Star Wars

"You totally rock,Squirt! So gimme some fin!" - Crush, Finding Nemo

Well, there are two days to go before the Warrior Dash and I haven't really had that much time to work out for it.  Am I ready? Who knows, but I am going to try my best.

Happy Father's Day.

In honor of Father's Day I just wanted to highlight a few post that we did here on Fandads.com.  Still looking for the perfect card for the dad that likes sci-fi, try this one out.   If this is your first Father's Day, enjoy the new perk of being a dad.  Also we were asked to write a few sentences for Paparocks6 about what Father's Day means to us.  Check it out when you can.  He rounded up a lot of great daddy bloggers for this post and you should check out these other blogs when you have the time.

To all the fathers out there that read this blog thank you and we'll continue to try to write more stuff for you every week.

The Perfect Father's Day Card

Just in time for Father's Day, Hallmark is releasing Star Wars Themed Video Greeting Cards. Being that this is going to be my first Father's Day can I say that I want one of these! What would be cooler than opening one of these in the morning and seeing a small video of fatherly advice from a galaxy far, far away.

Although the article doesn't say how many different cards are coming out it will be interesting to see how Hallmark uses this new format. These new cards have completely gotten me excited about Father's day

The New Perk to Being a Dad or The Extra Gift.

When we decided to start FanDads I started thinking of what type of content we could add to the site that would make it interesting and informative for other FanDads out there. I knew we would write about the things that we love: movies, comics, cartoons & video games, but what else can we add. Then I started thinking about about this year; my first as a father, then it hit me.

Every year we get about 4 gifts from our wives for the holidays: birthday, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and if lucky, Sweetest Day. I know Sweetest Day isn't a real holiday, but some people celebrate it. Now that I'm a dad I'll get an extra gift: Father's Day.

Yes, Father's Day. Remember when you were younger and you would try to figure out what to get your father. You would talk to your friends or siblings and try to find that great gift and end up getting him a tie or a belt. I never want to get a tie or belt, but if I do it better be a Star Wars tie or belt.

I think that being a Fandad will make it exciting when Father"s Day comes around, because we might get a gift card for a video game, or a graphic novel that we've been wanting, or even that one Blu-ray movie that you haven't been able to find. The possibilities are endless.

I know that this year's Father's Day will be an exciting one for me because it's my first & because I will just be excited to see what I will get. Even if it is a tie or a belt.
