Prepare yourself for Dreamworks BRIDGE OF SPIES

I have been a fan of Tom Hanks since the days of Bosom Buddies, I know I'm dating myself, but the man was very funny and he made me laugh...a lot. I really loved how he made the characters his own and just helped you escape for whatever time he was on the screen.

Whenever a new Disney/Pixar movie is released one of the highlights for me is the short film that is played before the actual movie. A few of my favorites are PRESTO, LA LUNA and recently LAVA, which was beautifully done.

With the upcoming release of THE GOOD DINOSAUR on November 25th we get the first sneak peek at the short film that will be preceding it: SANJAY'S SUPER TEAM.

In “Sanjay's Super Team,” the new short film from Pixar Animation Studios, accomplished artist Sanjay Patel uses his own experience to tell the story of a young, first-generation Indian-American boy whose love for western pop culture comes into conflict with his father’s traditions. Sanjay is absorbed in the world of cartoons and comics, while his father tries to draw him into the traditions of his Hindu practice. Tedium and reluctance quickly turn into an awe-inspiring adventure as the boy embarks on a journey he never imagined, returning with a new perspective that they can both embrace.

Saying Good-Bye to Summer

At the end of summer a few things usually run through my head; did we do enough this summer and did we have a great time? Usually it feels like our summer was just right, but I think this past year things went a little better than usual. As with any summer there are always a few moments or milestones that tend to stay with you.

What I love about having a daughter is introducing her to strong female characters that surround her. Be it in comics, movies or television shows, I love showing my daughter that the female character does not always have to be the damsel in distress.
