Fandad's Short Take "A Day at the Zoo"

Every now and then your child will say something to you that completely takes you off guard. Yesterday, while riding the Merry-Go-Round at Lincoln Park Zoo, my little girl said something to me that brought me to tears.

As the Merry-Go-Round was moving I let go of the bar of the animal next to me to hold on to the giraffe my little girl was on. She looked at me and told me to not let go of the bar because she did not want me to fall off. She next said that she didn't want me to get hurt because I was her "brave friend, my best friend and I love you and we won't have fun together if you're hurt."  I gave her a kiss on the forehead as my eyes teared up and told her I love her too. I held on to that bar as we rode around and around and we both waved happily to my wife when we saw her standing on the side with our little man. 

Kids say the damnedest things sometimes.

T-Shirt Thursday!

Quick post today, lots of exciting things going on, and we'll have plenty to write about soon. Until then, here's this week's tee!

The fine folks at nomanches.net have a nice variety of awesome t-shirts, hoodies, and other swag influenced by Latino culture. This particular design is a play on the iconic Hecho En Mexico image.

We've Only Just Begun!

Hello friends, Fandad Victor here and we just wanted to thank everyone that has been supporting us on the website for the past three years.  As you can see, we have been a little behind with posts, but we are hoping to alleviate that situation within the next few weeks. To try to keep us on task, we have hired a new assistant.  So far she's been a great help answering phones, taking messages and it doesn't hurt that she has her own laptop.

T-Shirt Thursday!

How do you start a new segment and miss it the following week?  Well, we here at Fandads are guilty of doing that, so to make up for our error we have two shirts to share with you today.  The first shirt we got through LootCrate and it was part of the June crate.
