Black Friday Deals from Nintendo

As the holiday season approaches, families are looking for ways to spend more time together – shared experiences that create long-lasting memories. This Black Friday, Nintendo is offering a bundle that will provide those memories right out of the box! Starting on Nov. 28, select retailers will offer the bundle, which includes a Nintendo Switch system and a download code for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game, at a suggested retail price of only $299.99*. That’s the price of a Nintendo Switch system with a game for no extra cost!

With the multiplayer fun of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and two Joy-Con controllers included with the Nintendo Switch system, families can open the bundle and start playing together right away.

In addition to the bundle, several Nintendo Switch games will be available at a suggested retail price of only $39.99 each – that’s $20 off their regular suggested price. This software offer begins on Nov. 27 at participating retailers. Players looking to explore fantastic worlds or engage in some friendly competition with family and friends can take advantage of the $20 discount on games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario Party, Splatoon 2, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Mario Tennis Aces and Kirby Star Allies, among others.

“With Nintendo Switch, parents are not just giving a gift to their kids – they are providing fun for the whole family who loves to play together,” said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Families who have been waiting to pick up a Nintendo Switch system have the perfect opportunity on Black Friday to take advantage of one of our many offers and add some Nintendo fun to their holiday plans.”

Additional Black Friday offers include a pair of Joy-Con controllers (Gray or Neon Red & Neon Blue) at a suggested retail price of $59.99 ($20 off), and the Poké Ball Plus accessory to use with the Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! games (sold separately) at a suggested retail price of only $19.99 ($30 off). The Joy-Con offer starts on Nov. 27, with the Poké Ball Plus promotion beginning on Nov. 28 at participating retailers. With Nintendo Switch, anyone in the family can find something they are looking for – from traversing the beautiful island and trap-ridden dungeons of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, to embarking on a fantasy adventure that’s powered by real-life movements and exercise in Ring Fit Adventure, to exploring a haunted hotel and solving puzzles in Luigi’s Mansion 3.

And coming soon, Nintendo Switch owners can experience a new generation of Pokémon with the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield games, launching on Nov. 15. Families can also fill their holiday season with some family-friendly fun by checking out the colorful adventure New Super Lucky’s Tale (read our review here) as well as the ultimate dance game Just Dance 2020 and sports party game Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, both available now.

Nintendo Switch is also home to well-received games like Super Mario Maker 2, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, all of which can be enjoyed together with the entire family. And any game that is compatible with Handheld mode can also be played on the recently released Nintendo Switch Lite system. Nintendo Switch Lite is a dedicated handheld system that’s ideal for people who have lots of opportunities to play on the go. It’s also a great option for families who want a choice of a Nintendo Switch system that fits their play styles.

Are You Ready for the Nintendo Labo Vehicle Kit?

A few weeks ago my daughter and I were lucky enough to attend a pre-launch event for the new Nintendo Labo Vehicle Kit thanks to The Rock Father (Read our coverage here). While we had a lot of fun driving, flying, and diving with our on-screen vehicle, you will have your chance to try out these new vehicles in two weeks. Playing with The Adventure Pals

Disclaimer: The Fandads were provided with a review copy of The Adventure Pals. All thoughts, opinions, and sleepless nights are our own.

Back in the days when I worked at GameStop, we would always get a lot of people asking for fun, couch co-op games. You know, the games that you can play in the same room with someone as opposed to playing with someone online across the neighborhood or country. Well friends, if you are looking for a game like this to play with your family the Adventure Pals are here to fill that void.

Getting down with the FLOOR KIDS

There is a breakdancing game for the Nintendo Switch and it looks pretty awesome!! Check out the video below and then read on for more information about the game.

Floor Kids is a unique breakdance game featuring dance battles, freestyle gameplay and funky beats. Discover original hand-drawn animation by JonJon, a fresh soundtrack by Kid Koala and innovative controls that allow you the freedom to play the way you like. Lead your crew of B-boys and B-girls through the city, unlock new characters and locations, battle against your friends, and discover new combos as you rock to the beat and find your style.

  • Choose from 8 diverse characters, each with their own set of authentic and original moves.
  • Find your style with an innovative control system that responds to different rhythms, holds, and combinations.
  • Discover over two dozen original music tracks by DJ Kid Koala, each with corresponding rhythm challenges.
  • Win over the crowds with a scoring system that rewards musicality, originality and style.
  • Dance at many different locations, either in solo freestyle mode or in local 2-player battles.

While there may have been many dance games that came out over the years, I don't think that many of them touched on Breakdancing. I have to get myself a Nintendo Switch this holiday season just so I can get this game. If the Fandads are able to get their hands on this game we will give you a full review soon.

Floor Kids is out December 7, 2017 for the Nintendo Switch.

Remember friends, the Nintendo eShop Cyber Deals – Last Chance – Treat yourself this holiday season with big savings on select digital games. Act fast, though, as the sale only runs until Dec. 11 at 8:59 a.m. PT.

Power Up with Mario at Breakfast Time!

With Super Mario™ Cereal, Nintendo and Kellogg’s® have teamed up to take fans on a breakfast odyssey that will continue long after the cereal box is empty. In addition to collectible Super Mario Odyssey™ box art, each Super Mario Cereal box functions as an amiibo™ accessory, making breakfast a more playful experience.

"This powered-up partnership with Kellogg’s is another exciting way for us to expand the Nintendo brand in unique and creative ways,” said Tom Prata, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. “We are always looking for new opportunities to bring smiles to people of all ages, and this is a fun way to kick off the day.”

The limited-edition cereal box will begin hitting store shelves across the U.S. as early as Dec. 11. Those playing the Super Mario Odyssey game can tap the cereal box on the Nintendo Switch™ system, like you would an amiibo, to receive gold coins or a heart in the game. Even the cereal itself has a Super Mario twist, with colorful power-up marshmallows and a blast of mixed berry flavor in every box.

Get a "Power Up" in your next Happy Meal.

Starting today and running through May 22, anyone who purchases a Happy Meal at participating McDonald’s restaurants across the U.S. will receive one of eight fun toys based on Super Mario characters. These classic and instantly recognizable characters are also featured in the upcoming Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game for Nintendo’s newest system, Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo fans will want to collect each of the eight toys, which include Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Yoshi, Invincible Mario, a Red Koopa Shell and 1-Up Mushroom. Each one of the toys has a special function, like a translucent Mario that lights up in different colors.

In addition to the toys, families can take their fun to the next level by entering a sweepstakes for a chance to win one of 100 Nintendo Switch Prize Packs inclusive of a Nintendo Switch system and the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game. Eligible customers that scan and purchase a meal at McDonald’s using the McDonald’s mobile app between now and May 22 will be entered. Customers get one entry for redeeming any deal in the app and two entries when they purchase a Happy Meal. No purchase is necessary to enter. The sweepstakes is open only to residents of the United States who are 13 and older. Official rules for the sweepstakes, including details about how to enter without making a purchase, can be found at online and http://www.PlayatMcD.com and at participating McDonald’s restaurants.
