With the barbecue season coming up, it is a great time to start gathering with family and friends outdoors. While we are looking forward to those fun summer nights of eating, laughing, and watching something together as a group the one thing that usually ends up happening is everyone going inside to watch whatever game or movie is on television. With the new SunBrite| Veranda Series Outdoor 4K UHD TVs with HDR we could still enjoy the summer nights while watching television outside. That's right! Now, the best seat in the house is outside!

Captain Marvel is coming home!

Disclaimer: The Fandads we provided with Digital Download copies to giveaway to our readers in exchange for coverage of the home release of Captain Marvel. All thought, opinions, and cheers are our own.

Captain Marvel was a fun movie that we reviewed earlier this year and it gave us insight as to what role she will play in Avengers: Endgame. While this movie was met with some backlash and criticism of the leading actress, the movie proved them all wrong by soaring to the billion-dollar mark within 3 weeks of being released. Captain Marvel proved that it was a movie to watch and now we can relive our favorite moments at home.

What Happened to Sporty Dad?

It’s been a while since I have posted anything about being a sporty dad, but that does not mean I have been living the sporty dad life…(that sounds weird). Since my last Sporty Dad post, I have run a few races, did a Spartan race, and I did not run the Chicago marathon. That is the one race I was sad I did not run, but maybe I'll do it again in the future. So here is what went down last year.

A&A Ballet Presents Sleeping Beauty

Disclaimer: The Fandads were invited to A&A Ballet's Presentation of Sleeping Beauty. All thoughts, opinions, and wonderment are our own.

Attending a ballet performance is not something that we do that often in our family. When my daughter was younger she took ballet classes and we attended two recitals in her short ballet career. Even though she still continues taking dance classes that are not ballet, she still likes watching ballet performances. When we were invited to see the new A&A Ballet presentation of Sleeping Beauty, my daughter was excited to go.

The End of an Era - Avengers: Endgame

Bear with me for a moment or two, but at least for us, this Era begins almost twenty years ago. It's the year 2000 and surprise, surprise, the world did not succumb to the Y2K problem and Earth was still around. That summer we'd spend a lot of time at the movies watching the first X-Men movie. As a comic book aficionado, it was truly the first time I saw my childhood heroes on the big screen. In "real life" or as close as they had ever been. Wolverine, Cyclops, Professor X up on the big screen. Sure, there had been previous movies, Batman, TMNT, Spawn, and many more, but I think this was different.
