Star Wars Rebels Season 3 Review

When Star Wars Rebels first started I was excited about a new Star Wars show that would not only give us new characters, but it would also be considered cannon for the movies that came before and after it. I remember watching it and immediately loving the fact that there were two strong female characters in the show and those two: Hera and Sabine instantly became my daughter's favorite characters.

Throughout the evolution of the show we have seen the growth of both Hera as a leader and Sabine in finding herself and the entire trails with the Darksaber. If you don't know what that is then now is the time to pick up the third season of Star Wars Rebels.  The show keeps getting better each season and it's a little sad to know that the fourth season is going to be the last season.

There are so many great moments in this season that I don't want to spoil them for you, but you can tell from the few pictures on this post what one of them is. Yes, there is a climatic duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul. Since the animated Clone Wars cartoon, Darth Maul has been seeking his revenge on Obi-Wan and the two finally meet in this season of Star Wars Rebels.

Among this epic duel, there are also some great bonus features included on the disc including how the show ties in to Rogue One and A New Hope. There are a few easter eggs in Rogue One that have to do with characters and ships from Star Wars Rebels and as the show get's closer to the events in Rogue One, I can't wait to see how they tie them up.

Other awesome bonus features are Thrawn: A Legend Reborn, The Original Rebel: Saw Gerrera Returns - Extended and Return to Mandalore. Each one of these features is very informative and helps give the viewer a well rounded look into the series.

Star Wars Rebels Season Three is out now on Blu-ray and DVD and it will be a great addition to your Star Wars home movie collection.
